About Us
B & W Plant Hire and Sales Ltd was founded in 1994 by Bill Whitwell; Bill has over 40 years experience in the plant hire industry. His son Will, who is also from a plant hire background, joined him in the business in 1998. The company has grown steadily since then by supplying clients with a service they believe cannot be beaten. We pride ourselves in being readily available for advice and help when problems arise on site. Bill and Will now have in place a management team and workforce that mirrors their values, but still lead from the front line.
Over the past 10 years the products B & W have available for hire have also expanded, creating a "One Stop Shop" for the building and construction industry. As safety is now paramount within the construction industry all equipment is supplied with the correct safety features i.e. flashing beacons, safety mirrors, certification etc, it also arrives promptly on site wherever the location. We feel that service is a very important factor when supplying plant equipment, however price is also an important ingredient to a successful partnership. We know our hire rates are very competitive, and this together with the service we provide makes the perfect combination for a successful plant hire provider.
B & W also sell quality second hand equipment, ranging from cheap and cheerful machines for home projects, to 2-3 year old machines where the customer is looking for something a little newer to use for a longer period of time or to possibly hire out or sell again. All the equipment is serviced if required and sold in a condition the customer is happy with.
